Description
History:

The bronze Oak Leaf Cluster is awarded to and worn by Army personnel on US decorations to denote the second and subsequent awards.

A silver Oak Leaf Cluster is worn in lieu of five (5) bronze clusters. Oak Leaf Clusters are also worn on unit citations for the same purpose.

Prerequisites:

May be worn upon the following awards:

Distinguished Service CrosS
Defense Distinguished Service Medal
Silver Star
Bronze Star
Purple Heart
Meritorious Service Medal
Joint Service commendation Medal
Army Commendation Medal
Joint Service Achievement Medal
Army Achievement Medal.

May also be worn upon the following Unit Citations: Presidential Unit Citation, Valorous Unit Award, and Army Superior Unit Award.
